Second Annual Justice Jam - Annoucement

On Saturday, November 6, 2010, Community Lawyers, Inc. (CLI) will host the 2nd Annual Justice Jam at Casa Cabral Restaurant, 5427 E Washington Blvd. Commerce, CA 90040, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The 2nd Annual Justice Jam is an event that will highlight the work of Community Lawyers, Inc. as well as celebrate the achievements of advocates who have dedicated themselves to serving low-income and underserved communities.  

The 2nd Annual Justice Jam is expected to bring together individuals from the legal and community development professions to enjoy an afternoon of great company, music, and food while supporting the varied legal programs offered by Community Lawyers, Inc.  We are asking supporters to participate in the 2nd Annual Justice Jam by contributing sponsorships that will help offset costs for food, wine, and music.  Community Lawyers, Inc. would appreciate Name support with any donation of donated item for the event on November 6, 2010.  

Based in the City of Compton, Community Lawyers, Inc. aims to increase the amount of legal service available in underserved and low-income communities.  In January 2009, Community Lawyers, Inc. opened the Community Lawyers Access Center (CLAC).  Through CLAC, the organization strives to meet its mission by offering legal clinics in various areas, including, family law, tenant rights, and small business development.  Additionally, Community Lawyers, Inc. offers a summer internship for law and college students who plan to work in underserved and low-income communities.  CLI is currently planning the launch of an attorney incubator program that will create of a pipeline of affordable attorneys who are able and willing to serve low-income and underserved communities.  CLI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and our tax ID number is 55-0898050.
